Juan-Carlos Perez is a Chicago-based artist with an impressive body of work. Above are untitled pieces in a series he calls Boats.

After ten weeks, The Mile of Murals 2011: COMIGO Collaborative has been completed. Titled Patriotism in Everyday Life, the mural is located on Chicago's North Side Rogers Park neighborhood. Juan-Carlos was one-third of the collaborative, joined by Diana Berek and Chiara Padgett. The mural offers a chronological, vibrant, detailed, and moving visual account of the history of America. It runs along Glenwood Avenue, between Morse and Lunt on the East side of the street. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Alderman Joe Moore is to be announced.
